7 Skills Bookcase and Global Book mod.

You need both parts of this for the bookcase to work correctly. The good news is, other custom bookcases can be made that also work with this mod, so you are not limited to one as others are made, if you want to have more than one style. This download requires at least seasons, freetime and apartment life to work correctly. It is a clone of a base game bookcase (double helix) and is repositoried to it. It shows up under hobbies/knowledge for 100 simoleans. It also works in a community environment (autonomously) as well as a residence. It teaches all 7 skills just like the teacher’s reward bookcase as well as all the other skills such as fire prevention and parenting. Write in diary has been made user directed due to the sims driving me nuts, and put away books has been made autonomous (so the nanny could put away books).

info down below for technical bits and what it conflicts with:

I wanted a regular looking bookcase for my game that still offered everything the career rewards bookcase did. I also wanted one that allowed for multiple styles to be made. So I started one. I realized that while I could work around the bookcase globals, I would have to make a semiglobal mod for the book globals to get it to work. So I made the changes to two of the book globals. (interaction – study and interaction – study (Golden Book) – test). The book mod will conflict with anything that changes those. It requires Seasons and works fine through Mansions and Gardens. Also my bookcase includes its own pie menu functions and strings so it won’t work with mods that change those. Again it requires Seasons on up through at least Apartment Life. This is a stand alone bookcase. To make it work, however, you need to put the career rewards bookcase guid in the original guid spot of the bookcase, although I also did it in the fallback guid spot in case it gets changed to that later in the bookcase.

Base Game crib and changing table recolors

Not much more to say about it really. I made these here while back, the cherry set for my friend Calibrat, the squirrel and vines ones for my friend Rosawyn and the butterflies and rainbow set for me. One thing however, since I was intending to use white for the rainbow and cherry frames and the game has a perfectly good white frame, I did NOT include a frame recolor for those two cribs, as why waste space with repeating a color?

Draco Rising

Teal Dragon Dress

Here while back, I had a vision of a dress pop into my head. It was a dress with one shoulder strap, long, with slits, and a nice little dragon sitting up on the strap. I approached my friend Jason to see if he would be willing to make it for me. This is the result. Well step 1 of the result anyway 🙂 Keep an eye on his Tumblr as well as his WordPress site. (curvy sizes now available). Muscly sizes now too!

These dresses are for young adult female, adult female, and elder female. They come in Everyday and Formal. If you wish to recolor, the dragon heads are alpha editable. To download, click here. The mesh IS included. The mesh has 3682 faces. It has both fat and pregnancy morphs.

Peacock Wedding Cake

This is a recolorable Wedding cake. It is cloned from the original one I made.

I used the Peacock statue from Apartment Life to put on the a cake mesh from Celebrations inside of a base game cake clone to put this all together. It is in Party for 400 simoleans, with the rest of the cakes. The recolors are in the zip with the mesh packages.

The poly count is 2330 and vertices 2100 for the cake, and the slice is a total of 376 faces and 385 vertices. I used the smaller textures it originally came with. I went to the trouble of making it base game compatible to the best of my ability to tell.

The peacock and the cake are both recolorable, and yes the cake slices do pick up the color of the cake, and they morph (go from full piece to half piece to empty plate) as the sims eat. They are sellable in an OFB environment as well.

Toddler Girl Outfits

I went wandering through Tumblr, and spied new a Sims 4 to 2 conversion for toddlers! Here and here.

megamassikalove did a wonderful job with the mesh 🙂

So I decided I just had to recolor it. I made them for just girls, and for boys and girls. You can get the girls only here. The girls and boys both version is here.

Novelty Jellyfish Lamp with custom light.

I recently figured out custom lights so I could make some for our ongoing Carnival project at Sims Crafter’s. Meantime as part of my “practice” I looked up lamps and lights. I found a really cute one online that is a novelty jellyfish lamp that lights up and turns all rainbow colored. So I decided to make it!

It is cloned from the jellyfish (stinging jelly) light from Family Fun Stuff (sp pack1). It costs 90 simoleans. It is found in table lamps.

When turned on it emits a soft turquoise light and has an animated rainbow swirl on the glass and the jellyfish themselves also have a rainbow overlay on them when lit up.

As you can see it is definitely a soft blue color, and will light up the room with a very soft light. Perfect for a night light or bedside table.

To the best of my knowledge it takes just family fun stuff but at the very least should be okay for Mac computers. I kept the textures small deliberately to save on space. The object itself has 3052 polys. Mainly due to the egg shaped glass surrounding the jellyfish.

As this is a custom light, it has an NLO included in the zip file along with the lamp package and the 2 base recolors (the other recolors are inside the lamp package.) so you need to have the scriptorium installed and drop it into the custom lights folder. If you do not have the scriptorium installed here is the link. Also this lamp will also slightly raise the environment score a bit more than normal, but you probably won’t notice it unless you are next to it. The light is set to be automatically on auto but is changeable.

There are 3 jellyfish recolors (the same as in the original stinging jelly lamp that comes in Family Fun Stuff). There are also 3 base colors. Silver, gold and black.

There is a minor maxis lighting issue. The NLO installed in both the package and in the program files (through the scriptorium) helps the lamp retain its diffused state. I say helps because sometimes even though it remains lit, and casts light, the table top itself loses its glow. This applies to MAXIS lamps too. They have a light pattern that casts light onto table tops so you probably never noticed (like me, until I worked with this project). This is a known Maxis bug that the NLO thing supposedly fixed. However not completely.

SOMETIMES when you come back from a community lot table top lamps will lose their table top glow. As you can see, the Maxis lamp on the left most edge is lit there, but the one next to it lost its glow after about 3 trips in a row to a community lot. The same thing occurs with my lamp. You can save and exit to neighborhood (or if you quit it will be fine next time you go in) to correct it, go into buy mode to jiggle it or move it around slightly, or stick it into inventory and pull it back out to reset it if it really bothers you. It doesn’t happen every time. As you can see they still emit light, they just don’t emit it on the table top. My top picture up above shows it in its glow state on different types of table tops, then the second one shows it in its unlit table top state. There really isn’t that much difference.

Have fun and enjoy! As usual, if there is a problem, or you just want to let me know how you like it, feel free to contact me 🙂

Animated Baby Bouncy Seat

Ok it doesn’t really bounce. But! it has custom baby animations and the baby sits and plays with toys in it. They can also sleep in it.

The bouncer can also be put on a variety of surfaces such as various tables and counters, and even stocked for sale on ofb shelves. It is also Apartment Life shiftable. When you buy it, it fulfills the baby toy want that goes along with the store toys.

It can be found in General/Child for a 150 simoleans. It is repositoried to the base game crib so picks up all of it’s recolors. It has 6358 polys but is only 0.6 mb even with all of the animations included!

There are 2 versions of this. One can be used by anyone who has any or all of the following configurations. Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, or Freetime. The other one is usable by anyone with either Apartment Life, Mansions and Gardens, or both.

I did as thorough a testing and checking of the code as I could in the circumstances, especially with the fact that I have the Ultimate Collection so cannot actually test the Pets through Freetime code directly (except with AGS and frankly it has messed up my registry multiple times so I do not trust it). However if there is any sort of issue not already reported as an issue, please let me know. I cannot fix what I do not know about.

I am happy to report that a Mac using individual reported back that it works fine in their game and their babies love it 😀

Her name is lilithandangela and she said to add she would love to test creations for other people on a mac as well 🙂 Just click on her name to go to her Tumblr.

Now on to further details.

1. It works best when you have two tiles in front of it. It’s front however is on its left side not the actual front. If you do not, the sims are apt to glitch when they try to put the baby down.

2. Nannies WILL use this but they much prefer a regular crib instead. And they will often leave the baby on the floor unless the baby is tired, then they will use it.

3. Animals will utterly ignore this. They have NO interactions with it at all.

4. I accidentally positioned it a tad off when I made it, so the very tip top of it is capable of being walked through. This will most likely occur in a very crowded area or if there are a lot of sims moving around and getting in the way. Too crowded an area will lead to the same glitch as listed in 1 above.

5: If you delete the bouncer from your upload, you will discover it was actually made from the venus statue and had the crib code imported in, so it could be truly a one tile object then. Not really an issue, just so that you are aware in that instance.

Also don’t do this:

If you do, the one in the blue bouncer will not be accessible. If you put a baby down on the left there (which is within the two blocks of tile I said it needed), the one on the right either cannot be taken out or if it is empty, cannot be put in.

Now on to thanks and general credits.

I was able to make this because one fine day while walking through the various creator sections at MTS Omglo dropped in a baby animbody! Something never seen before 😀

I snatched it up. So go thank Omglo 😉

Also thank you to all my friends at Sims Crafters, most especially Jo, Rosawyn, Mr. Joe Starr, and Kiri (celebkiriedhel)for their testing and/or encouragement.

Here is where I got the toy sounds that are included in the bouncer. Because of that particular site and the way it works, I cannot link you to the direct sound you have to do a search there, so if you are interested in acquiring it for yourself, just do a search for toy sounds or toy clinking sounds.

Enjoy!

Toddler girl’s spring time dresses

*Quick note* I had already created the simfileshare link for this set with the original recolors then I updated the set. Unfortunately that is just what I THOUGHT I did, but in reality I created a new simfileshare link instead so if you downloaded in the couple hours or so since I posted and now, a little before 10 pm CDT April 3, 2021 you were downloading the original set which is a little different than this one (3 were improved and a few extras added). The link has now been properly updated.

Recently I saw this toddler dress by deedee (the scalloped one not the scarf) and fell in love. Sooo I immediately decided to make some recolors.

So here, just in time for Easter, or at least in time for Spring! and our spring theme at my Sims Crafter’s discord 🙂

The following dresses are all marked for everyday and formal, and some have colored socks and some don’t (one comes in both flavors because my friend Jo wanted it done in white).

Yes I am absolutely HORRIBLE with pictures, especially tired 😀 but here is the link to the recolors. Deedee’s mesh is included but please go check out her cool new mesh and grab her recolors!

Bridal Shoppe Deco

*Update. Guys I am so sorry! if you downloaded before approximately 2pm on March 8, 2021 please redownload as I realized I uploaded the wrong version of my mannequins. The simfileshare has already been corrected.*

My friend Karen asked me to make some deco for her bridal shoppe she was making here while back. Specifically wedding veil displays and a redo of the outfits on MenaceMan’s mannequins. She was needing them for bridesmaids’ dresses.

So these are the results of my efforts. I made the mannequins in a gray finish so are neutral, and the original outfits of the Glamour Life Stuff Pack dresses. All told, there are 5 recolors and the mannequin, so colors of the dress. Pearl (gold), red, black, blue, purple, and green. The mannequin has 2848 faces and 2442 vertices. It cost 250 simoleans and is in miscellaneous, decorative/sculpture. It is in residential in decorative/sculpture, and under regular decorative in community buy mode, and in the buy mode in community sort buy/decorative on community lots. It takes an expansion pack (not sure if it matters, but probably OFB if it is a specific one but I am not sure on that, as I don’t like to test with AGS. It was made with all packs).

All Mannequin Colors

The wedding veil stands come with the EA veil on them from Celebration Stuff hair, and come in 2 varieties. One is a short stand with a shortened veil, and one is a short stand with a longer veil for use on shelves.

Both versions are in the same location as the mannequins, but for 150 simoleans instead. The long and short veil both come in at 2704 faces and 1584 vertices. They have identical recolors so are a matched set. The base is black and silver with a white veil. There are 2 gold stands, one light wood, one dark wood, a black one and a silver. The veil colors are yellow, green, blue, and pink in pastel colors, and red and black for those who want the darker ones. The same info known about the expansion pack, whether it just takes any pack, or OFB in particular I don’t know. They can be put on a variety of surfaces, such as counters, tables, floor, and shelves but the long veiled one was specifically made for taller surfaces so the veil could hang off.
